In the launch event for the 2024 Vodafone Cup Club season, Vodafone Fiji Limited expressed gratitude for its longstanding partnership with the Fiji National Rugby League. Nilesh Singh, the Vodafone Regional Manager for Recharge and Distribution, highlighted the remarkable growth of rugby league in Fiji, from grassroots to premier levels, over the years.
Additionally, Australian First Secretary Mr. Scott Robertson commended Fiji on the significant development of women’s rugby league within the country. This acknowledgment underscores the dedication and progress made in promoting inclusivity and opportunities within the sport.
The Vodafone Cup competition features 32 teams across two conferences, each with two states, West State and East State. With the inclusion of FNRL Women’s Premiership competition has added another boost for the rugby league season.
The defending champion for Vodafone Cup last year is Saru Dragons in the men’s premiership and USP Raiders for the women’s premiership.
